This winter, we celebrate our 10th anniversary - and pay homage to Madrid.
Ten years ago, L'Envers was born out of a desire to create clothes that are beautiful, sustainable and meaningful. Ten years on, our passion remains intact and it's in Madrid, the city where we live and create today, that we drew the inspiration for this anniversary collection.It's here in Madrid that we live and create.
A city we love dearly, for its golden light even in the depths of winter, its contrasts between ancient architecture and vibrant modernity, its alleyways full of life and its dry but luminous winters.
OUR MATERIALS
Aligned with our ethics and values, we choose environmentally friendly and humane fibers: cruelty-free wool and organic cotton. Our high-quality materials are carefully sourced from mills in France, Italy, Spain, and Portugal, allowing us to control manufacturing conditions. This ensures non-toxic materials that are safe for your health and the environment, while also ensuring the well-being of animals and the planet.

We don’t want you to purchase something you don’t need and won't wear. This is why we knit our pieces on demand after your order is placed. Contrary to the pace of regular and seasonal launches with a limited lifespan, L’Envers’ ethos lies in the offer of a simple and sustainable garment at the antipodes of that of fast fashion which is quickly produced, quickly consumed, and quickly forgotten. Knitting one item at a time ensures we only produce what is necessary, avoid over-production and preserve our beautiful planet ressources as much as possible.

Selling at a discount would mean cutting back on these essentials ressources and offering a lower quality, contradictory to our goal of creating sustainable pieces that you will wear for years. Our name sums up what we stand for - L’Envers means the reverse in French. We do things the other way around, we are opposed to the modern fashion industry which is a fast and furious one. We don’t want to take part in this incessant rhythm of discounts, this vicious system that gets consumers used to permanent low prices where we then find quality products too expensive.
