L'ENVERS x LA REDOUTE
A WORD FROM OUR FOUNDER
It is with great emotion (and pride) that I worked alongside the inspiring Sylvette Lepers and patternmaker Marie-Pierre Remy to create a capsule collection for La Redoute.
La Redoute is my entire childhood, my first fashion experiences. What joy I felt as a little girl when I received that big catalog that I pored over page by page or when I spent hours getting lost in the Aubaines de Dunkerque store where I found vintage treasures!
It represents the North, it represents family, it's a family business, it's tradition, it's fashion, it's the taste for well-made things.
I see myself as a spokesperson for this craftsmanship, this expertise, and I am moved every day by watching these hands and machines weaving from a simple spool of thread and creating stitches to knit a sweater in which one feels comfortable and protected.
I am deeply committed to the idea of transmission, succession, and heritage. Knowing where we come from (our past) to understand where we are going (our future).
I am proud to keep alive this beautiful and long history of my ancestors from the textile industry in Northern France and to perpetuate the shared passion for textiles, clothing, and knitting that they passed on to me.
We are back to our roots with a new collection inspired by the founding values of L'Envers.
We have always upheld the same unchanged philosophy of designing and knitting quality pieces to wear, wear again and pass on.
