    Exceptional Craftmanship

    This sweater is stunning. I don’t find it itchy and it hasn’t pilled after several wears. It has a nostalgic feel to it, the texture on the sleeves, the wooden buttons leave me with a warm feeling. This is a special piece to wear for years on end. I found it to be true to size.

    I had originally ordered another cardigan, but found the composition itchy and style too cropped. The Annie in Beige was my exchange, and I am very happy with it. It is exactly as pictured. This is a mid-heavy weight cardigan with a semi-boxy fit. Quality is excellent. Fit, color, and style are all lovely. The cable pattern and varied stitch works are interesting and complementary. The knit is also sturdy, allowing the sweater to hold a jacket like structure. I do find the merino wool slightly coarse, but expect it might soften with wash and wear. Until it does, I will be layering it over blouses and silkier long sleeve tops. I find the lowered v.neck and the roomy raglan sleeves make for perfectly easy layering. At 5’2” and a US size MP/8-10P, I debated between sizes S and M, as the listed garment measurements seemed somewhat generous. I went with the M and I think it is the right choice and the best choice for me. The hem falls to mid hip and the sleeve length is fine. The overall fit is relaxed but not oversized. The shop’s general size/fit guideline of staying with your usual size is correct. Keep in mind this is a thicker little cardigan, so a little extra allowance in width and length is good for balancing out the slight bulkiness of the shape. Very pleased.
