L'ENVERS x PYNE & SMITH

ANNIE CARDIGAN

A few years ago I discovered Pyne & Smith and immediately fell in love with their linen dresses - simple and beautifully - made pieces designed and sewn by Joanna who learned her craft with her mother and grandmother.

With no hesitation, I contacted her and offered to swap a sweater for a dress - I like very much this idea of exchanging instead of buying - and Joanna accepted! I wear it weekly and it’s definitely one of my favourite pieces in my wardrobe.

Since then, we often discussed the possibility of designing together a L’Envers cardigan that would be the perfect complement to her beautiful linen dresses. Joanna had in mind this idea of a traditional, timeless yet contemporary Irish cardigan pattern, and we started working on it with Miguel in our knitting atelier in Spain, where we live.

And there it was: ANNIE, a cardigan made of pure Spanish merino wool of the highest quality that comes either in beige or in red.
